Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Business: An Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) is a small business concern that is at least 51 percent directly and unconditionally owned and controlled by one or more women who are citizens (born or naturalized) of the United States and who are economically disadvantaged. The EDWOSB automatically qualifies as a women-owned small business eligible for the WOSB Program.
The Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act of 1994 (P.L. 103-355) (FASA) established the government wide goal for participation by small business concerns owned and controlled by women at not less than 5 % of the total value of all prime contract and sub-contract awards for each fiscal year.
Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business: Section 308 of the Veterans Benefits Act of 2003 (Public Law 108-183) states that a contracting officer may set-aside acquisitions for Service-Disabled veteran-Owned (SDVO) business concerns. A CO may award a sole source contract to an SDVO SBC up to $3.0 Million for services and up to $5.0 Million for manufacturing requirements. Award can be made at a fair and reasonable price.
